City waterfronts with street musicians. My daughter's imagination. David Shaviro's "Discognition." The fiction of William Gass, Norman Rush and Dorothy Baker. Midwestern winters and north Atlantic skies. These things are inspiring me because they are wild and quite spiritually fearless.
